There are two ways to measure the width of your window:
1. Inside mount method — Measure the window frame from one inside edge to the other. Then, measure the window's top, middle and bottom and record the smallest measurement to find your window's width.
2. Outside mount method — Measure the entire window width, including the frame. Should your curtains extend beyond the window frame, add some extra size to your measurement on either side. This extra measurement is called the ‘stack back’ and allows your curtains to stack off the window. We would suggest a minimum of at least 30cm but it does vary with your window size and choice of curtain heading.
