1. Start with what bothers you
Is the bedroom too bright in the morning? Does the living room feel exposed or a little bare?
Explain the problem before choosing the fabric. Note when it happens and what you would like to change. That gives your consultant a useful starting point.

2. Have your colours and ideas handy
Put these together before the appointment:
- A few pictures showing curtains you like.
- Paint colours and flooring samples.
- A cushion or fabric sample from furniture you are keeping.
- A photo of each whole window wall, including nearby furniture.
Point out what you like in each inspiration picture: the colour, texture, folds or overall feeling. You do not need a finished design.

3. Talk through light and privacy
Describe what you need during the day and after dark. If you want to keep an existing blind, say so before discussing a new curtain layer.

Before approving the quote, check:
- The fabric, lining and curtain heading.
- Tracks, making and installation included in the scope.
- The expected timing and care instructions.
Leave final measurements to the agreed measuring process. Rough dimensions help an early conversation, but are not an ordering specification.
